Titan’s Dark Souls #1 Sells Out, Goes To Second Printing!
Titan Comics’ debut issue of Dark Souls – the official comic set in the visceral world of the best-selling BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment /FromSoftware video-game series – has completely sold out on its first day of release.
The comic series, penned by best-selling writer George Mann (Doctor Who: The Eighth Doctor, Newbury and Hobbes Investigations) and illustrated by Alan Quah(Orphan Black, Godzilla: Awakening), has sold out, with a second print featuring a brand-new cover by Alan Quah scheduled to drop on May 18th.
Heralded by IGN as “awe-inspiring” and garnering a 9.5 score, Dark Souls III the video-game was released in April 2016 and is the fastest selling game in the franchise, with a 61% increase in sales than the previous instalments. With its dense, detailed landscapes and primal battles for survival, the Dark Souls series has captured gamers’ imaginations and has now bled onto the pages of the comic book.
