This week in geek has us excited for a few things, like The Day of the Doctor, and some awesome announcements from Blizzard.
Gaming:
The PlayStation 4
There were a few announcements at BlizzCon last weekend, one of them we figured was coming, but they revealed a few details.
The next World of Warcraft expansion, will be Warlords of Draenor. We think it looks promising, and we can’t wait to be able to play it. Check out the announcement trailer…
You can now opt in for the Heroes of the Storm beta, by logging into your to Battle.net account. They also released one of their impressive cinematics for the game…
Have you checked out the free to play D&D mobile game yet? You can now find Dungeons & Dragons Arena of War on Google Play. I haven’t had the chance to play it much, so I haven’t formed much of an opinion yet.
Movies & TV
Last weekend Blizzard revealed what the Warcraft movie would focus on, and it has us pretty excited. The movie will be the story of Anduin Lothar versus Durotan (father of Thrall). Human and Orc heroes from the original games. Both of these men are protectors of their people. War is coming, and both of them want to do the right thing for the people they are responsible for.
This week we got a poster, and teaser trailer for Maleficent. I’m not a big fan of Angelina Jolie, but based on this short clip she seems pretty good for the role.
If you’re a Doctor Who fan then you’ve probably already seen it, but this past weekend the BBC revealed a couple of trailers for The Day of the Doctor
Oh, yes, and let’s not forget they also released The Night of the Doctor. They said it would feature one of the Doctors, and I hoped it would be someone we were not expecting. Wish granted, also, it’s one of my favorite Doctors.
