I’ve been on a kick lately, a nostalgia superhero kick. I grew up watching superhero cartoons, and never really stopped. It really hit me though that most of the animated shows I watched were DC. Of course I loved some Marvel stuff to, like X-Men, X-Men Evolution, and various Spiderman cartoons. But it’s the DC animated stuff that has always dominated, even to this day.

On July 27th 2007, back when I obsessively payed World of Warcraft, Felicia Day dropped The Guild on YouTube. I’m having trouble processing that this year will mark 15 years since then. It just doesn’t seem that long ago to me, yet, somehow, it does. It’s very confusing.

You’ve likely heard the news by now, but if not, Disney has decided to close LucasArts. LucasArts was responsible for such classics as X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Dark Forces (which eventually lead to Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, a very important game for me personally). Seeing them get shut down is really sad to me, and disappointing considering what they had on their plates to come out soon.
