Max Payne 3 Graphic Novel Review
This week Titan Books released Max Payne 3 The Complete Series. These stories bridge the gaps between Max Payne, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne and 2012’s Max Payne 3.
Max Payne 3 – The Complete Series is a hardcover graphic novel that puts together a short 3 issue series based on the Max Payne video games. This book could basically work as a prequel to Max Payne 3, and a way for those that haven’t played the first two games to become a little more familiar with the series.
The book is fairly short, I was able to read it all in about 40 minutes or so. It was pretty neat to read through it and be reminded of the events that had happened previously in the games, as the first two games are pretty old at this point. If I hadn’t played any of the games, this would have been a good way to dive deeper into the back story of Max Payne, before playing Max Payne 3.
The artwork is pretty impressive, you’ll want to absorb it all. The sharp images help in telling an interesting, and entertaining story.
If you’re a fan of the games then this is something you will want to add to your collection, and it’s a budget friendly price.
